Welcome to A Festival of Words!
The Bridgerland chapter of the Utah Storytelling Guild and Bridgerland Literacy, two of northern Utah’s organizations devoted to bettering the ways we communicate, are putting on a festival for all ages celebrating the power—and fun—of words. “A Festival of Words” takes place March 10 from 2 – 6 pm at the Bullen Center, 43 South Main Street downtown Logan.
The festival will include storytelling, singing, dancing, workshops, vendors, kids activities and even cooking with words. As part of the festival, kids will enjoy wand duels and other Harry Potter activities in Hogwarts Hall. At 7 pm, the “Milk & Cookies Storytelling” concert event will be held featuring storytelling, of course, but also music, magic, dancing and other arts. Oh yeah, it will also feature milk & cookies. The entire event is accessible and family-friendly. Cost is $1 for the festival and $5 for the evening concert.
See our Schedule of Events to see what’s going on, and if you’d like to be involved in some way, just let us know by sending an email to David Sidwell: dr.davidsidwell (at) gmail.com .
Our inspirational work of literature for this event is Benjamin Franklin’s quintessential, Poor Richard’s Almanack. See the “Poor Richard” page for some favorite quotations from this amazing work of literature.

Way to go David!
